Maryville Falls to Harding

ST. LOUIS—The Maryville University women's tennis team fell 9-0 to non-conference opponent Harding University Tuesday.

Freshman Erinne Haff (Jackson, Mo.) was defeated 6-0 and 6-2 at No. 1 singles. Classmate Victoria Roberson (Ballwin, Mo.) was narrowly defeated 6-4 and 6-2 at No. 2 singles.

Senior Beth Nunn (St. Charles, Mo.) and sophomore Anne Kilian (Crystal City, Mo.) fell 6-1, 6-0 and 6-0 and 6-1 at No. 3 and 4 singles, respectively.

Sophomore Karen Schwarm (Vandalia, Ill.) and junior Annda Hindelang (Grafton, Ill.) rounded out the Saints' competitors in singles play. Schwarm and Hindelang both lost 6-0 and 6-0.

In doubles, the duo of Haff and Roberson lost at the No. 1 spot 8-2. Kilan and Schwarm and Nunn and Hindelang both lost 8-0.

Maryville concludes its fall season Saturday when it hosts Stephens College at 3 p.m.
