Mike Sigler
Head Coach
Mike Sigler enters his seventh year at the helm of the Saints Baseball squad. He became the ninth head coach in the program's 28-year history in 2005.
Sigler has coached Maryville to a 59-47 record in St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SLIAC) play in five seasons, and has had 19 players named All-SLIAC. His 2009 team qualified for the conference tournament and posted the third consecutive 20-win season.
Sigler has a long baseball history, which includes 25 successful years as the head coach at Parkway Central High School in Chesterfield, Mo. He won eight District Championships and six Conference Championships with the Colts, and also placed fourth or better in four State Championship Tournament appearances. Sigler's 1992 and 1993 squads enjoyed the most success, both placing second at the State Championship Tournament.
In addition to his teams' successes, Sigler was named District Coach of the Year and Suburban West Coach of the Year seven times, and he was inducted into the Missouri High School Baseball Coaches' Association Hall of Fame in 1994.
Outside of Parkway Central, Sigler has served on the U.S. Olympic Baseball Selection Committee and was an instructor at the University of Missouri Baseball Camps from 1978-1995. He also served as a scout for the Minnesota Twins organization and was a summer coach for the St. Louis Amateur Baseball Association.
Sigler retired from Parkway Central as both the Head Baseball Coach and Athletics Director in 2001. He and his wife, Ida Leah, live in Manchester, Mo.
CJ Bilbrey
Assistant Coach
CJ Bilbrey enters his third year with the Maryville University baseball program.
Bilbrey previously served as the general manager and coach of the Farmington Firebirds, a summer ball wood bat program. In this role, he was responsible for managing the team but also recruited players, organized all travel arrangements, field preparation and equipment needs.
Previously, he served as an assistant coach at Florissant Valley/North Central Missouri where he worked with the infielders, recruiting and worked camps. Bilbrey served as the Rock Memorial Legion pitching coach for three season.
He earned a bachelor's degree from Harris-Stowe State University where he played baseball and was a three-time All-Academic American Midwest Conference selection. He was also a three-time scholar athlete at HSSU.
