Coaching Staff:
Georgia Rupp-Prince
Head Cheer and Dance Coach-Spirit Program Director
Head Coach Georgia Rupp-Prince joins us for her second year as the Maryville Athletics department transitions to a Division II program. Prince competed nationally for Barton County Cheer team and the University of Kansas, earning third place NCA National titles with both teams. As an instructor for the Universal Cheerleaders Association, she spent 10 years teaching and instructing with some of the best former cheerleaders and coaches in the nation. Prince served as the Head Cheer and Dance coach for Kansas Wesleyan University from 1999-2004. By her second year both teams had competed at the state level receiving first place in cheer and second place in dance. In her fourth year, Prince led both teams to the national NCA Collegiate Competition in Daytona Beach, FL. During this time Prince also created and coached a cheer and dance team for a semi-professional basketball organization, the Kansas Cagerz.
Competitively driven, Coach Prince took the Maryville Dance Team to their first competition last March at the University of North Texas, Denton. The team walked away with a first runner-up title. Both teams are gearing up to qualify for NCA/NDA Collegiate competition this spring and are working diligently to become a competitive program in the Division II arena.
