The Maryville University Alumni Association was
founded in 1913. It is dedicated to fostering a spirit of unity
among alumni, to advancing the interests of the University and
to
strengthening the continuing bond between the alumni and Maryville
University. The Association provides a variety of opportunities for
alumni involvement with the University and to advance and support
the vision, values, and heritage of the institution.
The Alumni Association recognizes that its
members' continuing association with Maryville
is enhanced by the
quality and reputation of the University. It relies on the talents
and resources of its members to help advance the institution by
achieving the following goals:
To articulate the mission and activities of the
University to the alumni
and the community.
To promote interaction among alumni.
To recognize and increase visibility of alumni
accomplishments and achievements within their community
and to the University.
To develop programs, activities and events that provide
opportunities
for all alumni to participate in the life of the
University.
To provide alumni with opportunities for continuing
intellectual growth.
To promote and encourage alumni contributions of time,
talent and financial support to the University.
To involve alumni in student recruitment and retention
activities.
To serve the needs of alumni with special interests
within the framework
of the alumni association.
