Alumni and Friends

Maryville is more than just a nationally-recognized university. It's a state of mind. Our alumni understand that more than anyone else, aided by the perspectives of distance, time and abiding memories of an experience many view as the best years of their lives.

Fortunately, the remarkable relationship with Maryville doesn't end with commencement. Alumni are automatically enrolled as lifetime members of the MU Alumni Association, founded in 1913 to strengthen the bond between our graduates and the university. And just as there are many opportunities for students to be as active as they wish, Maryville makes it possible for alums to stay engaged and involved. The Alumni Association works hard to keep graduates up-to-date and those who take advantage of the volunteer opportunities find the university to be as relevant, meaningful and rewarding (an fun)as ever.

Getting started is easy. Membership in the association is free. Alumni are encouraged to update their alumni profile to better facilitate communication and to let us and fellow alumni know what they're up to. New jobs or appointments, marriages, births, career accomplishments, moves, awards & recognitions, additional degrees, whatever alumni wish to report, will be listed in the regular web updates.

Having accurate information is crucial for the Alumni Association to stay current with alumni. And once we have information, the Alumni Association works hard to provide a volunteer involvement that alums will never forget.

Non-alumni friends, get active as well, whether it's as volunteer workers at university events, mentors, speaking engagements, volunteer activities, advisory board membership and much more.
