The Sport Business Management Academy sponsored by the John E. Simon School of Business will provide you with an opportunity to explore the business of sport.  This program offers you learning opportunities in the areas of:

  • Sponsorship
  • Sport Industry Agencies
  • Professional Team Management
  • Sports Agents
  • Sport Products

You will examine various academic business disciplines, such as management, law, sponsorship, marketing, sales and leadership.  Gain valuable insight into Maryville’s Sport Business Management program.  See why Sport Business professionals value Maryville grads.

Eligibility: Students should be entering their junior or senior year of high school in August 2012.

Criminal Justice/Forensic Science Summer Institute

July 10-13, 2012

“From Murder to Trial”

Do you find yourself waiting anxiously for the next episode of CSI, Law&Order, Harry’s Law, Criminal Minds or Bones?

If so, you may be thinking of a career in law enforcement, forensic science or the justice system.  This one-week summer program will allow you to explore all facets of the Criminal Justice system.  You will be introduced to a hands-on learning experience that exlpores the process of evidence collection, evidence analysis and the presentation of evidence in the courtroom.

Summer Institute Highlights

  • Crime Scene Scenarios
  • Role Play-Secure a crime scene, collect evidence, introduce evidence in a case in court
  • Evidence analysis and reporting
  • Guest speakers (Detectives, Lawyers, etc.)

Geriann Brandt, Assistant Professor of Criminal Justice and Criminology
Dr. Thomas Spudich, Associate Professor of Chemistry and Forensic Science
