In keeping with our
tradition, we are looking for a few talented people to become Chemistry Majors. Our
graduates have pursued careers in a number of different areas. Some have gone to Graduate
School to earn Ph.D.s, Medical School for MDs, Dental School for DDS degrees
or Law School for JD's. Others have decided to get industrial or governmental positions
upon graduating with a BS in Chemistry.
Course work includes
General, Organic, Inorganic, Analytical and Physical Chemistry, Biochemistry, Calculus
I-III, Calculus-Based Physics I and II and Introduction to Biology. Liberal Arts
requirements expand and round out a students experience.

Our Faculty
Our professors are especially concerned that you, our
student, understand chemistry. To this end, we have small classes and you have frequent
opportunities to ask questions in class. Our administration is very supportive in aiding
us to achieve our goals.
Career Preparation Reinforcement
Our faculty advisors and career planning and placement
centers help students to choose an appropriate career direction when you
graduate from college. Experience in presenting
information and writing an effective résumé is gained in Senior Seminar.
The Cooperative Education program allows students at
the sophomore, junior and senior level the opportunity to gain paid work experience. This
experience may improve employment opportunities if one seeks employment upon graduation
with a BS.
