The
biology faculty at Maryville University believes that the
undergraduate biology student should acquire a strong foundation in
the basic concepts and principles of biology; students should not
over-specialize in their undergraduate biology preparation. Our
program provides a wide platform for whatever interests the student
may develop in the future.
The faculty have done an outstanding job in selecting courses that
represent a comprehensive range of topics that allow student to
progress in their careers while at the same time maintaining a small
enough program to deal with our students as individuals.
Maryville University science faculty has grown in one generation
from a one person department to a comprehensive faculty of nine
full-time professors. The University is committed to the continued
growth of this faculty as student enrollment and institution
commitment to the sciences continues to grow.
