Dr. Lee has delivered peer-reviewed presentations to the Western Social Science Association (2004 and 2005), World Association for Public Opinion Research (2004), and Missouri chapters of Public Relations Society of America (2004).

JONATHAN FAHNESTOCK
Assistant Professor of Communication and Graphic Design

- M.F.A. in Computer Graphics Design from Rochester Institute
of Technology (2003)
Before joining Maryville University Jonathan served three years as an art director in advertising.
In addition, he has created a variety of websites, e-learning
applications and traditional design pieces for companies such as Ford,
Scion and Lark books as a freelance designer.

FRANK G. DONLON
Visiting Assistant Professor of Communication
- B.A. in English, University of Notre Dame
- M.A. in English, University of Connecticut
In addition to nine years' teaching experience in English and
Communications at UConn, Notre Dame, Loyola Marymount, Immaculate Heart
Collage (Los Angeles), and Maryville, Mr. Donlon has over 35 years'
experience in the fields of Advertising, Public Relations, and Business
Communications as a Writer, Editor, Manager, Consulting Partner, and
Vice President with Librascope, Inc. (L.A.), Atlantic Richfield Oil
Company (ARCO), The Hay Group, and The Catholic Health Association of
the United States (CHA), among others. He is also a published poet,
article/short story writer, and freelance film critic.

MS. CINDY PULLEY
Associate Instructor of Communication
- B.S. in journalism with minors in English and education.
Logan (UT) Utah State University (1980)
- M.S. in mass communication with an emphasis in education.,
Utah State University (1983) with a focus in education
Ms. Pulley has 20 years of experience working in communication and
education. She has worked as a writer/ photographer for three Utah
newspapers, including The Salt Lake Tribune, and as a technical editor
for a corporation in California. Her articles have appeared in
technical, trade and regional publications, and she has worked as a
consultant/contractor for various businesses and agencies. She served 12
years as a media relations director for a non-profit group.
Ms. Pulley has had work presented to the Association for Education in
Journalism and Mass Communication, has received certification as a
journalism teacher for the national Journalism Education Association
and has served on that organization's convention committee. She is a
certified journalism and English teacher in the State of Missouri and
taught nine years in the public schools. Her students often won state
and national awards for their reporting and graphic design
work.

DR. STEVEN PHIPPS

- Ph.D. in Radio-TV-Film, University of Missouri at Columbia,
1986 (Gregory Fellow, Arts & Sciences Fellow)
Steven Phipps has over 20 years of experience teaching at seven
institutions. His published research concerns historical, technical, and
regulatory aspects of broadcasting in addition to historical aspects of
film. His articles have appeared in such academic journals as Historical
Journal of Film, Radio, and Television, Journalism Quarterly, Film
History, and the Journal of Broadcasting & Electronic Media. In addition
to Communication courses, Dr. Phipps has also taught Oral Communication
(public speaking) for the English Department.
