The management program is designed to
provide a comprehensive education in the principles of business
management. The major
is designed to allow students maximum flexibility in the area of
management they decide to pursue. In addition to the general
business core, students are required to take three specific upper
division management courses. They may then focus their
management electives on the area of management that holds the most
interest and professional benefit. This focus could include
human resource management, executive management, emphasis
on legal issues or contemporary issues in management, or a general
overview of the management field. Students are encouraged to
gain work experience in their field of study and cooperative
education credits may count toward their management major. All
management courses emphasize the careful integration of theory and
application. In addition, there is heavy attention given to
developing the student's communication, team-building, and critical
problem-solving skills. |
