In order to complete your degree within four years, the following is the suggested sequencing of the Legal Studies coursework:
First Year:
- LEGL 101 - Introduction to Law
- LEGL 303 - Civil Litigation
- LEGL 105 - Legal Ethics and Interviewing
- LEGL 301 and 302 - Legal Research and Writing I and II
Before the fourth year students must plan to complete all required and elective coursework. Senior year the students should take Senior Seminar and Paralegal Internship.
In order to accommodate both day and evening students, courses are generally offered in the day and evening over various semesters. Please see the Table of Classes provided on this website. Please note that the Table generally lists courses and when they will be offered during odd and even numbered years. This Table is subject to change based upon enrollment and instructor availability.
128 Credit Hours are required for graduation with the last 30 completed at Maryville University. 18 credit hours of legal specialty classes must also be completed at Maryville University. All requirements for a student's minor must be fulfilled prior to graduation.
