Welcome to Maryville university. You are joining us at an exciting time in the
life of the institution, as students, faculty, and staff all express a
great spirit of anticipation for the coming academic year.
As you move around the campus, you will see numerous physical
improvements, including the new university center and the student
apartment complex. In addition to the physical improvements, we have
significantly expanded our student life programming, providing a rich
array of opportunities for your son or daughter to develop lifelong
friends, discover leadership skills, and contribute to a vibrant campus
environment.
Our academic programs—always a Maryville strength—continue to expand
with the introduction of our first doctoral degrees in Physical Therapy
and Education. At the undergraduate level, we are continuing our
internal review process to ensure a rigorous and useful program of study
in over 50 areas. This ongoing review has resulted in Maryville’s recent
ten-year re-accreditation from the North Central Association. It also
helps explain why 91% of our 2007 graduates are either employed or
pursuing graduate studies. We will provide the same commitment to your
son and daughter—and to the fulfillment of their educational and career
goals.
