Withdrawal Refund Policy

Non-attendance of class does not constitute withdrawal. The withdrawal date is determined by 1) verifiable date the student began the withdrawal process or 2) the date the student provided official notification of the intent to withdraw or 3) the midpoint of the enrollment period for the student who does not begin the withdrawal process or notify the university of his/her intent to withdraw. This date will be used in any adjustment of tuition charged and/or financial aid received.

Only tuition is prorated

  • Fees are non-refundable.
  • Charges are determined by the student's official withdrawal date as recorded in the Student Services Center.
  • New student tuition deposits, room deposits and any fees are non-refundable.

Financial aid

  • Adjustments are made in proportion with a reduction in costs.
  • Contact the Student Services Center when changing schedules or withdrawing from classes to determine the exact effect a revised academic schedule will have on a financial award.

The University reserves the right to withdraw a student whose academic progress is not satisfactory, or who does not comply with the regulations of the University and uphold its standards.

  • In such cases, the University is under no obligation to refund tuition or residence fees.
  • Students leaving a residence hall before the end of the semester must contact the Director of Residential Life, who will determine if any adjustment of room and board charges will be made.

All legitimate credit balances will be refunded to the student within 30 days of confirmation of the amount of excess funds.

  • If a student requests in writing that funds be retained for budgeting purposes, this will be done but only until such time as the student graduates or withdraws.
  • At that time, a refund will be delivered to the student within 30 days of the last date of student attendance.
  • Students who cease attendance with an excess of funds on the student account without formally withdrawing will be identified and their account reviewed.
  • If a proration of charges and/or financial aid is indicated, the student will be notified and the changes made.
  • If a credit remains due to the student, a refund will be sent within 45 days of the last attendance date.
  • The University reserves the right to write off unclaimed credit balances of less than $1.

Tuition adjustment will be made once the formal withdrawal process is complete and according to the refund schedule listed below. The percentage represents the percentage of tuition a student will be charged.
