Susan Davis
Executive Director of Marketing and Community Relations
Sue Davis joined Maryville University in November 2011. She has enjoyed more than 20 years of success working in higher education, first at Southern Illinois University - Carbondale (1986-2007) and at the University of Houston Downtown (2007-2011).
She has developed integrated marketing campaigns and various public outreach plans that have advanced academic institutions. Her expertise includes marketing, branding, crisis management, executive communications, and media relations.
Davis has won two national awards for writing from the Council for Advancement and Support of Education. She has worked as a reporter/photographer for daily newspapers in Illinois and worked as an assistant news director for WMIX in Mt. Vernon (IL.).
She holds a master's degree in business administration from Southern Illinois University-Edwardsville and a bachelor's degree in journalism from SIU-Carbondale.

Laura Smith Josehart

Laura joined Maryville University as assistant director of marketing and community relations in March 2006 and began serving as interim director in April 2008. She was named director in January 2009.
Prior to coming to Maryville, she was director of print production for Vanderbilt University, where she oversaw the design and production of printed material for the Office of Alumni and Development. For 10 years, she managed print and mail production for clients through a graphic design partnership she founded and managed. Most recently, she handled mail projects through a direct mail firm in St. Louis.
Laura earned a Master of Arts degree in English from Binghamton University in New York and a Bachelor of Arts degree with honors in English from the University of Tennessee-Knoxville.

Betsy Taylor

Betsy joined Maryville University as the senior writer and editor in October 2011. At Maryville, she is serving as editor of "The Clocktower," a monthly online publication for alumni. She writes for the University's website, the alumni Maryville Magazine and communicates with outside media outlets to share news about Maryville, link them to University experts and share word of faculty and student accomplishments.
She has worked as a news and features reporter for The Associated Press, the St. Louis Post-Dispatch and other media outlets in New York, Rhode Island, Massachusetts and Missouri. Betsy earned a Master of Science degree in Journalism from Columbia University and a Bachelor of Arts degree from the College of the Holy Cross. She spent a year studying abroad as a student at Oxford University.

Ronnie Gaubatz

With more than 12 years experience in planning, developing and marketing turn-key online solutions for medium to large businesses, Gaubatz brings a wealth of knowledge to her position as manager of the Interactive Media Group at Maryville University. Gaubatz served as the director of web development at Build-A-Bear Workshop where, under her direction, the web development team won numerous awards, including The Web Marketing Association - Outstanding Website award, six BizRate Circle of Excellence awards, a Bronze Quill award and five St. Louis Business Journal E-commerce awards. Gaubatz also brings to Maryville her expertise in user interface design, rich media, interactive media, social media, online community, email marketing and search engine optimization.

Eric Juden serves as web application developer at Maryville University. He joined the marketing and community relations team in September 2007, following a successful tenure as an auditor and software developer with Executive Personal Computers in St. Charles, Mo.
A native of St. Charles, Juden has studied computer technology at Hickey College, Webster University and St. Charles Community College.

Katrina McAfee

Katrina McAfee has worked in the web technology area at Maryville University since 2002. Starting as a freelance web designer, McAfee now serves the University as web developer and has been responsible for the creation, development and implementation of the web pages on Maryville's website.
A graduate of St. Louis Community College at Meramec, and with additional academic accomplishments at Webster University, McAfee has strong graphic design and web development skills that are used to enhance Maryville's electronic medium, primarily the website.
Prior coming to Maryville University, McAfee was the web-based training developer for The Boeing Company, a position she held from 2000-2002. She has also designed web pages for Maritz Learning.

Kate earned her undergraduate degree from Truman State University and her graduate degree from New York University. Prior to joining the Maryville team, Kate was the Senior Web Designer and Supervisor at Build-A-Bear Workshop. There she directed web development, interactive and multimedia projects with extremely successful results. Kate's unique skill set will allow the web services team to evolve the website into an even more dynamic and interactive online experience.
