Marilyn Cohn received her BA in English and Education, MAED  in the Instructional Process, and PhD in Educational Policy Administration at Washington University in St. Louis.  In addition to teaching high school English, she taught in the Teacher Education Program for 37 years and served as Director of Teacher Education for 19 years at Washington University. She is the author of numerous articles, book chapters, and books, including To Be a Teacher and Teachers: The Missing Voice in Education.  As the Director of the Center, Marilyn focuses on developing a wide range of professional development activities to support faculty,  including  the facilitation of the Scholarship of Teaching and Learning Seminar Program.

Julie Bergfeld received her BA in French from Washington University in St. Louis and her MA in Journalism from the University of Missouri-Columbia. She has worked in the technology industry and higher education in several places including Austin College in Sherman, Texas and MIT in Boston, Massachusetts since graduation.  In the Center, she focuses on coordinating and supervising the technology training offered for faculty and on the effective use of technology in the teaching-learning process.
