Maryville beat out the other colleges I was looking out for two main reasons. I enjoyed the small size because it meant smaller classes and a better chance to make a difference on campus and Maryville also had the best Actuarial Program out of the schools I looked at.

Involvement! There is absolutely nothing that I could possibly emphasize more. Getting involved right away has allowed me to make the most of my freshman year. By getting involved you will have the best of opportunities to create a lasting impression at Maryville. By getting involved right away you will also be able to form valuable friendships and relationships that will prove to be lasting and very influential on the course of not only their Maryville experience but the rest of their life.

What is one piece of advice you would give to new students?
Don't be scared. A lot of times kids come into college expecting that it is going to be completely overwhelming and hard to handle. While it is a new experience, you will be able to adjust to the new lifestyle and you will feel more confident after you give it some time.

Get involved and find where you feel comfortable. Try out all different organizations, you will eventually find one that clicks for you.
